The color room #159

A new palette at theColorRoom. And since this is 'my' designated month as guestdesigner, I was very happy that it was such a lovely ont, right in my comfort zone  :)

Hence the designated month, I am introduced alongside the other september girls, on the TCR blog. Owner Lydell Quinn did an amazing job by taking parts of our bio's to make it look like an actual interview. Very ingenious!!
If you like, you can read all about it right here: http://www.thecolorrooms.com/1/post/2013/09/palette-159.html

Well, let's get started with this palette:

I did this page for dd #2, who is not too fond of the shabby chic style I usually like to do (or as she calls it; that old stuff). So I laid back on the vintagy stuff and kept it as simple as I can.
Turned out she doesn't like the dotted paper as well,  I should have known.... ;)

Photo's were taken during a visit at Disneyland Paris, where we traditionally kicked off at Starbucks. DD#2 is laughing because I was tickling her  :)

The 'zipper' is made with molding paste and a homemade template. The pull-thingy is made of 2 soda can clips (which were so thougthfully saved by dd#1, thanks Hun!), so this page is also an entry for the  ScrapForHelp september challenge:

To add depth and contrast I drew barbwire edgings with a black fineliner and a white gelpen. The gelpen was also used to draw the chickenwire on the background (using a template)

Because I wanted to play with the Once Upon a Sketch september challenge, I used this sketch, which I rotated counter clockwise. Journaling 'lucky' is on the backside of the page.

Journaling on the backside is about how lucky we are (lucky crickets, to speak with Mulan's Mushu), to get to go to Disneyland Paris so often.
We enjoy it so much, and have been there with family and friends. Each time equally wonderful. Knowing all odds and ends of the parc, it feels a bit  like home!
Sometimes we visit just for a day, but other times we stay the night. That even feels more luxurious. We are really lucky crickets, I tell you!

 Bedankt voor het kijken!

Thanks for looking!
